Oupa Pietie Pelser

PC Pelser was 'n penkop in die Boere mag van 1899 tot 19:00 voordat hy oorgegee is deur sy bevelvoerder.  Hy was eers in die Groenpunt krygsgevangenis in Kaapstad aangehou en mettertyd oorgeplaas na Bermuda.  Petrus Pelser was onder meer 'n kanonier in die Anglo Boere Oorlog.  Hy was twee keer getroud en het drie seuns en twee dogters opgevoed en groot gemaak. Sy eerste vrou is oorlede en in Steynsburg begrawe. Sy tweede vrou, Maria Pelser (nee Van der Westhuizen) is my ouma aan moederskant.
