OUR FATHER BP DE BEER PASSED AWAY 2006-08-18

Our father, Barend Petrus De Beer passed away just before the Spring started in Bloemfontein. He carried the family first names which derives from the Graaf Reinette De Beer family roots. Their nephews and cousins of the Colesberg roots, moved to Kimberley where they discovered diamonds on their farm Vooruitzicht. However they sold their farm to Cecil John Rhodes who established the DeBeers diamond company. That part of the De Beer family bought a farm near Boshoff in the Free State while my father's great grand father, Barent Petrus De Beer bought the farm INHOEK, in the Fauresmith district.
