A NEW RAILWAY LADDER TRACK

In a previous post, I mentioned my late father's idea to design a new railway ladder track which cannot wash away after heavy rains and storm water. The concrete ladder stays intack. When a train truck gets derailed, the sharp edge of the wheels cannot cut or break the sleepers because the frame in his design is bolted together like a ladder. Although the design was not patented, we submitted it for the IDEA AWARDS of the Swedish Independent Development Association (SIDA) and subsequently received the above cerificate. The scale model is stored in the Technopark of our Central University of Technology, Free State.
